  • (1888PressRelease) June 04, 2018 - MILPITAS, CALIF. — Eltropy has been chosen by MetLife as one of eight finalists for collab 3.0 EMEA, the global insurer’s open innovation programme. Selected from a pool of 148 applicants in 32 countries, the finalists will work with MetLife for two months to hone their ideas before pitching them to senior MetLife executives this July in London. The winner will receive a US$100,000 contract with MetLife in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

    “As the messaging-based customer-engagement software company for financial services, we are excited to be chosen as a collab 3.0 EMEA finalist,” said Ashish Garg, Eltropy’s co-founder and chief executive officer. Eltropy is proposing to MetLife EMEA a WhatsApp-based solution; Eltropy also works with Line, WeChat, Messenger, and other popular messaging apps.

    “I am sure MetLife EMEA will see big value in the predictive analytics that our platform provides,” said Chandra Bhople, Eltropy’s co-founder and chief operating officer.

    Eltropy is excited to be paired with MetLife ‘employee champions’ and looks forward to pitching its customer-engagement solution to MetLife senior executives. The winner will pilot its solution with MetLife in EMEA. The programme is run by LumenLab, MetLife Asia’s Singapore-based innovation center, in collaboration with MetLife EMEA.

    LumenLab’s work with startups started with two previous collab programmes in Asia. To date, MetLife has awarded more than US$500,000 in contracts to help develop practical solutions that deliver value to MetLife’s business and customers.
