  • (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2021 - EFALIA RAISES €5 MILLION in a series B funding round conducted by BNP Paribas Développement in order to continue its growth plan
in France and worldwide over the next four years.

This new injection of cash raised by BNP Paribas Développement will enable Efalia to continue its growth, both in France and worldwide. The target is to achieve €25 million by 2025
    by maintaining double-digit organic growth
    while making new acquisitions.

Etienne Paillard, Efalia’s chairman, declares: “We are delighted to open up our capital to such a prestigious player as BNP Paribas Développement for this first funding round. We have been working for years to build a full suite of software solutions for document and process digitalisation aimed at SMEs and mid-market companies that has no real equivalent in the market, aiming to make Efalia into the backbone of businesses and public organisations. Today, as we see real acceleration and concentration of the market, we believe the time has come to speed up our growth and open up to new markets.”
With over 2,000 customers and tens of thousands of users, Efalia has become a major player in the paperless market. With the strength of a software product that has developed considerably in the last four years, the publisher devotes over 20% of its revenue to R&D every year. At the same time, it has made several acquisitions from its own funds to complete its range and reinforce its position in a growing market. Its software suite now covers the full spectrum of paperless operations, from capturing information flows, document and content management, business process management, electronic signature, interactive document composition and certified digital safes to digitalisation at source.

Able to address all the digitalisation challenges of SMEs and mid-sized companies, Efalia’s solutions are perfectly suited to market needs and the requirements of an environmentally friendly approach. Also strongly represented in the public sector – Efalia’s customers include 80% of French départements – its solutions are widely used in public organisations such as Ministry of Justice, where Efalia has set up a user portal for making complaints directly online, based on its own 6Tzen portal.

Etienne Paillard continues: “The goal now is to achieve revenues of €25 million by 2025 by maintaining double-digit organic growth and reinforcing our international presence, particularly in Europe and the United States, where we aim to develop an indirect sales network building on our new Trust programme. In addition, we think we have found in BNP Paribas Développement a real financial partner able to support us in the long term and enable us to reach the critical mass we need to achieve our ambitions.”

Ludovic Robert, Investment Director at BNP Paribas Développement, concludes: “Efalia has succeeded in putting together a coherent set of solutions and a diverse, competent and tight-knit management team, placing the company in an excellent position to become a leader in the digital transformation market for businesses and public-sector organisations, in France and the rest of Europe. We will remain attentive and ready to reinvest to finance the board’s build-up strategy.”

Efalia was supported in this operation by Oakland Partners and Cabinet Rathaux.
