    Duke Energy’s pledge to Raleigh is simple. The company’s commitments include:

    - Keeping 1,000 to 1,300 jobs in Raleigh. We will offer enhanced career development opportunities for all our employees.

    - Pledging $650 million in fuel-related cost savings, and we expect additional operational efficiencies will benefit customers over time.

    - Continuing to support our communities at levels consistent with our track record.

    “We are giving approximately $16.5 million annually in community support and charitable contributions in North Carolina for at least the next four years,” Carter said. “In addition, we are investing approximately $15 million over the next year in workforce development and low-income energy assistance.”
