Datacraft successfully upgrades firewall for Advanced Contact Solutions, Philippines

  • (1888PressRelease) July 27, 2010 - Singapore - Datacraft has successfully implemented a firewall upgrade with minimal disruption to operations for global call centre, Advanced Contact Solutions (ACS). A pioneer and leading contact centre in the Philippines, ACS provides superior customer service to tier-one companies in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia. The new carrier-grade firewall will effectively filter out unwanted web and email traffic for the company's expanding operations.

    ACS has recently expanded its operations to incorporate more that 7,000 agent seats. The old firewall was hard pressed to cope with the huge increase in traffic, so ACS approached Datacraft to provide a proof of concept for a carrier-grade firewall, which would address the current and future expansion.

    Datacraft partnered with M.Tech, a technology reseller in the Philippines, to provide the two call centre sites with a Nokia IP690 security platform from Check Point IP Appliances, which was formerly Nokia IP Appliances. It was able to leverage its global partnerships with both Nokia and Check Point to quickly resolve a few configuration issues that arose and complete the implementation on time and with minimal downtime as required by ACS at the consultation process.

    "We provided ACS with an end-to-end service - from consultancy all the way through to implementation," said Paul Dewhirst, general manager for Datacraft Philippines.

    "As our key client for several years now, ACS knew it could rely not only on our knowledge and expertise in delivering projects smoothly and timely, but also our strong partnerships with leading industry vendors - in this case Check Point and Nokia. It was critical that the implementation was completed with minimal downtime to the IP system and ACS were confident that we were able to undertake this task successfully," added Dewhirst.
