- Bridgeport, CT (1888PressRelease) October 17, 2018 - Milford Subaru dealership Dan Perkins Subaru joins forces with Connecticut Humane Society to raise money and encourage animal welfare awareness.
Through the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, Subaru retailers across the country are collecting money and pet supplies to donate to animal organizations in local communities during the month of October.
Dan Perkins Subaru is inviting pet parents and their animals to the dealership on October 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Animals and owners will be invited to “strike a pose” in the Subaru Loves Pets photo frames to later share on social media with the hashtag #SubaruLovesPets. Every photo taken will prompt a donation to Connecticut Humane Society from Subaru New England. As a token of appreciation, Dan Perkins Subaru will hand out Subaru Ascent or Forester plush toy or a pet bandana to visitors, while supplies last.
Last year alone, Connecticut Humane Society provided care for over 11,500 pets through its adoption services, reduced fee veterinary clinic, dog training classes, pet food pantry, and off-site vaccine clinics. Connecticut Humane Society does not receive any government funding, is not affiliated with any national animal welfare groups, and does not euthanize for time, space, breed or age.
