  • Boulder, CO (1888PressRelease) August 15, 2013 - Country Buffet®, Colorado's family-first buffet restaurant, is partnering with the University of Colorado to present Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, August 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Folsom Field. Admission to the event is free courtesy of Country Buffet and co-sponsor National Jewish Health.

    On August 17, families can visit the Country Buffet tent for a chance to win fun prizes with the popular Spin & Win wheel. Kids can meet CBee, the loveable Country Buffet mascot and enjoy other great giveaways.

    During the event, Country Buffet brand ambassadors will be registering guests 18 years and older for a chance to win a brand new car. The Country Buffet Car Sweepstakes is currently open for entries. Registration is free at the Healthy Kids Day event or online at www.CountryBuffet.com. The sweepstakes ends on September 21.

    Ten semi-finalists will receive Free Food For a Year from Country Buffet and a chance to receive the winning key for a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. All semi-finalists will be drawn at random on September 23. The Subaru will be given away on September 28, at the market-wide grand reopening for Country Buffet.     Healthy Kids Day
    Healthy Kids Day has become a University of Colorado tradition, where CU student-athletes and coaches run skills and fitness stations for kids in the 8th grade and lower grade levels. Registration for Healthy Kids Day will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will take place at the northeast entrance to Folsom Field, located at Gate 14 just off of Stadium Drive. The first 750 registered kids will receive a FREE CU t-shirt.

    Before the clinic, participants are invited to come watch the CU Football team play in an intrasquad scrimmage beginning at 10:30 a.m., where they can get a first look at this season's team. Fans will also have the opportunity to see the best seat locations still available for season tickets and three-game flex plans.
