    Paintings, life size sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage and ceramics are among the many orginal works of art festival goers can expect to see at the 2nd Annual CityPlace Art Fair in West Palm Beach January 22 - 23, 2011. This upscale popular retail and dining destination will be transformed into a high end outdoor art gallery and will feature leading national artists as well as the finest local talent. Admission is free and open to the public.

    Howard Alan Events, the producer of Art Fest by the Sea in Jupiter, the Downtown Delray Beach Art Festival and the Las Olas Art Fairs is proud to return to West Palm Beach with another fine juried art show. "Our shows allow art lovers to explore the work of many different artists and discover new and emerging talent in one setting," says festival promoter Howard Alan. "This is a great opportunity to personally connect with the artist before making an investment."

    The artists will line CityPlace with their gallery style display booths. The streets within CityPlace will be closed to vehicular traffic, starting at Rosemary and Okeechobee Boulevard through to Fern and Hibiscus. The artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, are hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America. Howard Alan Events stipulates that all artists are required to be on-site for the entire duration of the show, available to discuss their art and inspiration.

    CityPlace Art Fair makes the arts accessible to a broad audience. Prices range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures. The event appeals to families as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections.
