  • Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) December 07, 2011 - Cervera Real Estate, South Florida's leading brokerage firm for condominium sales, has been named exclusive sales and marketing agent for BrickellHouse, Newgard Development Group's luxury condo tower that will soon rise in Miami's Brickell Financial District. With construction of the 374-unit tower scheduled to get underway in 2012, BrickellHouse is the first newly-planned condo project to take shape in downtown Miami since 2008, signaling the next wave of residential development in the City's urban core.

Cervera Real Estate was selected in large part for its expansive reach throughout South America and the global real estate community, according to Harvey Hernandez, President of Newgard Development Group. "Miami is a global city and BrickellHouse is the address of choice for buyers seeking luxury lifestyle in the heart of the urban core. Cervera Real Estate's expansive network of contacts in the international brokerage and buyer landscape is unrivaled in Miami real estate. The firm is equipped with the resources and the relationships to market BrickellHouse and Miami to our core clientele around the world," says Mr. Hernandez.

BrickellHouse comes as the Downtown Miami/Brickell residential market completes a dramatic rebound following one of the most storied construction cycles in U.S. history. Less than 4,000 of the 23,000 condo residences delivered during the boom remain unsold, with fewer than 1,500 of those located in the Brickell Financial District, according to a June 2011 market study by the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA). Prices are also rising: the average sale price during the first half of 2011 was nearly 5% higher than during the same period in 2010.

"International buyers continue to fuel the resurgence of Miami's residential real estate market, a result of the city's global positioning, proximity to Latin America and Europe, and fast-growing urban core. As the first new condo to launch in the Brickell Financial District since the new development cycle began, BrickellHouse is ideally positioned to capture the attention of sophisticated buyers looking to buy in Miami," said Ms. Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, Managing Director of Cervera Real Estate.

Ms. Cervera Lamadrid will lead the sales strategy for BrickellHouse. Past projects she has represented in the Downtown Miami/Brickell area include 50 Biscayne, the Marquis and Viceroy Residences, among others. She has closed more than $720 million in transaction volume since 2008. Working with Ms. Cervera will be Nelson Rios, Sales Director and Alicia Lamadrid, Assistant Sales Director. Mr. Rios will manage the day-to-day activity of the BrickellHouse sales team. With a decade of real estate experience, Mr. Rios has been responsible for sales at high-end Miami projects such as The Plaza and 500 Brickell. Ms. Lamadrid will support day-to-day management of the sales team for BrickellHouse. She has handled sales and marketing for various luxury condominium projects, including Icon Brickell & Viceroy Residences.

BrickellHouse, now on the market following its October sales launch, offers condos ranging in size from studios and 1-, 2-, 3-bedroom units, to 5,000 square foot penthouses. The project is designed to reflect the rising demand for urban living in South Florida, with amenities including the Brickell area's first rooftop sky deck and pool, a high-definition screening room, spa and fitness center, and wireless internet in all common areas. Residences will feature expansive private balconies offering views of Biscayne Bay and the Brickell Financial District, gourmet kitchens and bathrooms, and premium appliances and finishes.

The building will include street-level office, restaurant and retail space that enhances the neighborhood's pedestrian experience. Among the earliest retail tenants is Meat Market Steakhouse, the popular South Beach eatery that will open its first mainland Miami location.

BrickellHouse will also be home to one of the nation's first fully-automated robotic parking garages, which will yield significant convenience and security, as well as environmental benefits. BrickellHouse is being designed to achieve LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Development of the $170 million project will begin with a groundbreaking in the third quarter of 2012 - with construction expected to be completed within two years.
