    Abstract
Important regulatory changes continue to reshape the investment funds and Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ) programs. On January 19, 2021, the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) issued Notice 2021-10, which provides new extensions and deadlines for filing QOZ investments. These new guidelines further expand the initial extensions granted in Notice 2020-39 in response to the COVID-19 crisis. In addition the 2020 Census has modified the OZ Census Tract Boundaries and Congress will determine the impact on future OZ projects falling into these revised neighborhoods.

With these developments, several questions remain on the side of investors and fund managers. Thus, it becomes vital for businesses to keep abreast of the latest developments in QOZ investment. They must also re-evaluate their strategies to mitigate the risks and address any arising legal challenges.

Join Blake E. Christian, Partner at Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP, as he walks you through the latest QOZ trends, issues, and legal challenges. Blake will also offer best compliance practices in light of the changing legal climate.

In a LIVE Webcast, Blake will discuss:
    • Qualified Opportunity Zones: Exploring Current Investment Landscape
    • Evaluating Legislative and Regulatory Trends and Developments
    • Opportunities and Challenges – Geographically and for both Real Estate and Operating Businesses
    • Structuring Complexities and Red Flags
    • Best Compliance Practices
    • Outlook in Light of Continuing COVID Impact and Likely Tax Increases
