  • Scranton--Wilkes-Barre-Hazleton, PA (1888PressRelease) November 18, 2011 - Steven Pratt, Future Administrative Logistics Professional for Defense Logistics Agency at Tobyhanna Army Depot, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Steven Pratt's commitment to excellence in Logistics/Project/Engineering Management.

    Pratt, who enlisted in the US Air Force in 1982, served the military from 1982-84 after applying and being accepted into the Air Force Officers Training School in 1984. He held several positions before retiring as a Major in 2006, and subsequently became an acquisition engineer for Battelle Memorial Institute, a senior industrial base analyst for Science Applications International Corporation and an analyst with Camber Corporation at Picatinny Arsenal. He also was employed by the Social Security Administration at the Wilkes-Barre Data Operations Center in 2010 as a teleservice associate full-time.

    "I have dedicated my efforts throughout intensive and passionate research, through twenty-four years of full-time service in all of these professions," Pratt said.

    With skills in engineering management, logistics management, transportation management, project management, training management and administrative management, Pratt's extensive and very passionate skills have come a long way. Hoping to secure a position with the Defense Logistics Agency as a documented military veteran, he would be supervising outgoing and incoming shipments through DLA all over the world, based at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania.

    Pratt hopes to continue working full-time as either a government employee or as an employee of a company in Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Wayne or Lehigh County, in a logistics, transportation, administrative or project role.

    Having received more than a dozen medals, including achievement and commendation medals and meritorious service medals, Pratt maintains his security clearance from the Department of Defense, which was renewed in 2008. He was promoted from Airman First Class to Second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, Captain, and finally Major.

    Pratt is a member of the United States Amateur Track and Field Organization of New Jersey, the New Jersey Masters Running Club, Air Force Association, Military Officers Association of America, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
