Biltmore Who's Who Selects Melissa Schnabel as a VIP Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Sioux Falls, SD (1888PressRelease) March 30, 2012 - Melissa Schnabel, High School Mathematics Teacher for Parkston School District, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Melissa Schnabel's commitment to excellence in Education.
Schnabel, who earned her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Chemistry Education from Mount Marty College, began teaching in 1993 immediately after graduation.
Having taught for nineteen years in math, Schnabel teaches grades nine through twelve in Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry and Calculus. She also designs lesson plans with the hopes of creating material that that will help students gain a great understanding of the material and be able to apply it to their everyday lives.
"My love for learning and for new knowledge helped me get where I am today," Schnabel said about her career in education. "I always truly believed that I could do anything as long as I tried and never gave up."
Looking toward the future, Schnabel would like to work outside of the classroom in some capacity, perhaps in a bank as a loan officer or something similar.
Schnabel is the recipient of a Tandy Outstanding Math/Science/Computer Science Teacher Award and was also nominated for the Disney American Teacher Award. She is a strong supporter and volunteer of the Kaylor 4-H Club in Hutchinson County. When she isn't busy working or volunteering, she enjoys gardening and reading.
