  • Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) November 30, 2011 - Kristine Palmer, Industrial Engineer for Jacobson Companies, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Kristine Palmer's commitment to excellence in Manufacturing.

    Palmer, a Six Sigma Black Belt from Kaplan University and University of Illinois graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, began working as a design engineer in Charleston, Illinois just after graduating college and finishing her internship with NASA.

    Having received formal Lean manufacturing training and techniques and years of experience, Palmer works at a site that serves as a co-pack facility for a large food and candy manufacturer. Her diverse position includes identification, analysis and implementation of cost savings for both her company and the customer. As one of the site managers she oversees all continuous improvement projects and assists with site maintenance improvement projects. She also provides daily support for production, operational excellence metrics and efficiencies.

    "I will always look to continually improve in both life and work," Palmer said. ''In my years as a professional I have discovered that as long as I do the best I can and then some, my aspirations for advancement and success will follow".

    Palmer also recently published her first book, entitled Eigenoids Episode 1: Aqua Quest, the first in a series of children's educational adventure series. She hopes it will develop into a world recognized series that will encourage math, science and history education. She also founded a non-profit program through her book series that encourages authors to donate portions of their royalties to help schools in need or those affected by natural disasters. The organization is called Book the Future. Palmer has also received numerous awards throughout her career, including an Excellent Contributor Award for continuous improvement process development. When Kristine isn't busy working or writing, she enjoys scrapbooking.
