The selection recognizes Karen Okonowski Dunlap's commitment to excellence in Computers.

Dunlap, who holds a BS in Business Management from Empire State University and a BA in Computer Systems from the University of Buffalo, has worked in a variety of professional settings over the past thirty-five years, including healthcare, nonprofit education, the federal government and technical education.

"I credit most of my inspiration to a sibling of mine who struggled through a less than happy marriage, yet continued to pursue her professional nursing career and education," Dunlap explained.

Dunlap noted that her mother always encouraged her to do her best and rise to the top, as well as her husband of ten years for encouraging her to work hard. In fact, her husband was so inspired by her dedication to her education, he decided to return to school as well.
