  • (1888PressRelease) June 02, 2011 - Mumbai-based 'Bhojpuri City' magazine has announced to give away "Mustraj" presents Bhojpuri City Cine Awards 2011 to mark its Golden Jubilee celebration this year.

    It is worth mentioning here that Sahara News Network of Sahara Group is the media partner of "Mustraj" presents Bhojpuri City Cine Awards 2011, which will be conferred on June 2, 2011.
    Bhojpuri Cinema industry, which started its journey 50 years ago as a small plant, has left remarkable impression among its audience and grown as a big tree.


    For the first time, awards will be given in the all categories. The announcement was made on Thursday in a press conference in Mumbai.

    This is the fourth year of Bhojpuri City magazine's publication and its popularity has also impressed the Hindi film industry.

    Speaking on this occasion, chief of the "Mustraj" presents Bhojpuri City Cine Awards 2011 Kishan Khadariya said that Sahara India Pariwar has provided real Sahara (help) in the prosperity of Bhojpuri City and we are glad to be associated with Sahara Group.

    "Today I am really feeling delighted to announce that Bhojpuri Industry has been grown remarkably in the last four years and is doing business of over 100 crores.

    Shri Rubal Dutta represented Sahara India Pariwar on the stage and said, "Sahara India Pariwar wish that "Mustraj" presents Bhojpuri City Cine Awards 2011 become trend setter in the industry."

    Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasahani and actress Aditi Govratrikar started the programme with lighting the lamp.

    On this occasion, Aftab Shivdashani said, "First time I came to know that Bhojpuri cinema has completed 50 years. I wish that Bhojpuri film industry scales new heights in forthcoming days.

    Renowned actor of Bhojpuri film industry, Rakesh Pandey put light on the journey of Bhojpuri film. At the end, famous Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari also joined the event and said that 'Bhojpuri City' has the only right to present the Bhojpuri Cinema awards.

    Editor of the Bhojpuri City magazine Akhilesh said that we are representing entire industry now and the awards will be given in two categories-- first one is Jury award and second one is popular award. These awards will be given to the films released between January 2010 to December 2010 in all categories.

    At the end of the programme, Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan, Aftab Shivdashani, Rakesh Pandey, Aditi Govatrikar unveiled the trophy of award.
