  • Durham, NC (1888PressRelease) April 18, 2016 - "Overcoming Racial, Gender and Cultural Bias," "Closing the STEM gender gap," "Diversity in STEM: What it is and Why it Matters".

...just a few titles of articles iNvictus Office Center has posted recently from their Facebook and Twitter accounts. The articles themselves are credible and telling. There is a problem not only in the STEM industries but also as it relates to minority entrepreneurs in the STEM fields. There is disproportionately low minority representation and as opposed to simply pointing this out, iNvictus has chosen to do something. iNvictus Forward Outreach, the 501(c)3 federally tax-exempt non-profit arm of the iNvictus brand is once again on the frontlines in the war to fight with underrepresented populations across the nation. Today, we begin registration for the launch of our efforts to not only curb the trend we see in STEM fields but to actually serve as an agent of change. At 12 noon on Friday, April 15th, 2016 on our website, www.iNvictusOffice.com, we are launching iNviTECH!

iNviTECH is an entrepreneurial technology summer camp and afterschool program for children in grades 6-12. Our summer program will teach students how to make a wearable device as well as entrepreneurial skills. The summer camp is a 2-week Monday through Friday session that starts July 18th. Our pride is in making learning fun and engaging for our participants. The main goal is to engross members in 21st-century practices and prepare them for careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Participants will also be encouraged to explore innovation with the possibility of combining their STEM skills with entrepreneurial endeavors. Education is key to the economic growth and future of the economy; at iNviTECH, we will be nurturing the entrepreneurs of the future. We look forward to providing a lifelong experience that will educate, inspire and engage young minds. We would love to meet your talented child and have the opportunity to work with them!
