  • Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) January 08, 2011 - Fashion Fantastico, a wearable arts event supported by the Leadership West professional organization and the West Valley Arts Council, has issued a call to local, regional, national and international artists to submit wearable fashion designs for the premiere event taking place in the Phoenix West Valley on May 14, 2011. Fashion Fantastico is modeled on a line of similar, popular events being held and recognized worldwide.

"When done right, the performance and fashion aspects of a wearable arts event brings a lot of attention to the communities and artists involved," said Trish Arana, a member of the inaugural event's organizing team. "And we are planning to make Fashion Fantastico nothing short of attention-grabbing."

Sponsorships are still available for this cutting edge, wearable arts show that will blend aspects of fashion, performance, and music to bring each creation to life. Following the show, displays will be available for closer evaluation. Attendees will vote on their favorite fashion exhibit through social media channels.

"We're very focused on Fashion Fantastico and its first grand event," said Arana. "We're going to make this event a hallmark of the West Valley and its powerful arts community."
