AdvantaPure(R)'s Silicone Tubing for Peristaltic Pumps Carries USP Class VI Approval; Now Available in an Additional Size
AdvantaPure now offers its APSPG silicone pump tubing in .313" I.D. x .500" O.D. to help meet customer demand. The tubing, which is USP Class VI approved, is stocked in ten other sizes as well. APSPG is specially formulated to withstand the rigors of peristaltic pump operations and offers other benefits such as no animal-derived ingredients, translucency and documented lot traceability.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) December 18, 2013 - AdvantaPure manufactures silicone pump tubing for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and laboratory uses. Known as APSPG, the tubing is specially formulated to withstand the repeated compression and release actions of peristaltic pumps and offers consistent, dependable performance beyond that of standard silicone tubing. AdvantaPure recently added another size, namely .313" I.D. x .500" O.D., to its stock offering.
The USP (United States Pharmacopoeia) Class VI endorsement applies to the finished tubing and not to its ingredients only. This assures users of the product's purity for fluid transfer in critical applications. The low-volatile-grade silicone material is platinum cured, certified free of animal-derived ingredients, and meets FDA 21 CFR 177.2600. APSPG is manufactured and packaged in Class 7 (Class 10,000) ISO-certified clean rooms.
APSPG provides smooth surfaces for uniform fluid flow and resistance to bacteria build-up. Additionally, it offers:
- A wide operating temperature range of 100°F ( 73.3°C) to 400°F (204.4°C)
- Extreme flexibility and resilience; hardness value of 50 Shore A
- The ability to be sterilized with either gamma irradiation or autoclaving
- Translucency for visual contact with the flow
- No taste or odor transfer to fluids
- Documented lot traceability with identification on bags
- Documented quality control
With the addition of the .313" I.D. size, a total of eleven sizes from .031" through .500" I.D. are now stocked. The tubing is sealed in polybags at manufacture and stored in a particulate-controlled warehouse to maintain cleanliness. Custom sizes, lengths, and packaging including double bagging are available.
