Actor John Ratzenberg joins the cast of Pixar's new film Brave

  • (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2012 - LONG ISLAND, NY - John Ratzenberg has been casted as the voice of a castle guard in the Pixar film Brave.

    In a recent interview with TheCelebrityCafe.com, Ratzenberg spoke about being featured in every Pixar film thus far and being considered the "good luck charm" in Pixar films.

    "The reason why the films have done so well in the box office is because Pixar takes a lot of time and care in writing and crafting the story."Ratzenberg said. It's nice to be considered a 'good luck charm', but the real luck comes from Pixar's hard work.

    Ratzenberg has voiced in many movies such as " A bug's life, Monsters, Inc., Cars and Cars 2 and the list continues.

    Prior to voicing cartoons Ratzenberg was a cast member of Cheers. Cheers is one of the longest running NBC sitcoms. It ran for over 11 seasons.

    "Cheers was written by people that grew up reading books. They didn't grow up watching television. That's why Cheers was a success because of good writers."Ratzenberg said.

    Outside of the cartoon world he is also making a guest appearance on Lifetime's drama series Drop Dead Diva on June 10th.

    Check out the Disney/Pixar's 3D new animated film, Brave, on June 22nd in theaters.
