  • Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2012 - Access Media 3 ("AM3") has executed an asset purchase agreement with MDU Communications (USA) Inc. ("MDUC"), expanding the market share of AM3 in its established territories in Florida, Illinois, and Georgia. AM3, which provides bundled television, internet, and voice service to multi-dwelling unit properties, gains over 3100 service subscribers in the current acquisition, with an anticipated transfer of an additional 4800 subscribers by the end of 2012. Currently, AM3 maintains over 65,000 subscribers company-wide, in eight states and the District of Columbia.

AM3 executives note that the acquisition has the synergistic advantage of bolstering the company's position in its established markets, creating accretive cash flow and enabling AM3 to add to its already expanding call center and field operation teams. "The MDUC acquisition gives us the immediate opportunity to increase our subscriber base within our existing footprint," comments Scott Rediger, AM3's CEO. "In our customer-based industry, visibility and name recognition are vital to the growth of our business. Providing top-quality service to MDUC's former customers will enhance AM3's position as a leading media service company in our markets."

One of the fastest-growing telecom companies in the nation, AM3 was a 2011 Inc. 500 award recipient and also has received Year-to-Year Growth awards from its satellite television partner DIRECTV. Its organic growth success arises from the company's focus on customized plans that meet the needs of individual properties within the parameters of a building's existing infrastructure. AM3's strategic growth philosophy maximizes the profitability achieved by a larger entity's economies of scale, while maintaining the customization flexibility of a smaller company.

"AM3 will continue to balance organic growth with acquisition, to steadily grow the company in the healthiest manner," said Rediger. "We want to show the owners of MDUs, including condos, apartments, student housing, and retirement/independent living communities, that they have real options in supplying media services to their properties, options that save money and make their properties more appealing to residents."
