Bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary and whimsical art, life-size sculptures, photography and jewelry are among the original works of art that will transform Hyde Park into an outdoor gallery style art show. This free two-day event features the finest artists in the country including exceptional local artists. Admission is free and open to the public.
The artists will line Swann and Dakota Avenues in Hyde Park Village with their professional display booths and will be present for the duration of the show. The art festival affords the public a wonderful opportunity to meet and speak with the artists about their creations and inspiration.
"This is a fantastic way to explore the work of many different artists in one setting," says festival promoter Howard Alan. "You have the opportunity to meet and connect with the artist before making a purchase, which makes the investment much more meaningful and personal."
The artists are juried by an independent panel of expert judges and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity, to ensure a wide array of mediums and styles by the top artists in the country.
The event appeals to people of all ages as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections. Prices range from $20 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 sculptures.
