Zov To Be Feted At Center Club's "The Gatsby Affair"

  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) September 18, 2013 - Flappers dancing the Charleston to live music, cigarette girls greeting guests on the red carpet, "backroom" casino complete with roulette wheels and black jack tables and guests dressed to the nines '20s style will set the tone for "The Gatsby Affair," a fundraiser benefiting the nonprofit Costa Mesa Senior Center. Being honored at the gala cocktail reception, to be held Friday, October 18 from 7 -11 p.m. at the exclusive Center Club (650 Town Center Drive), is critically acclaimed chef/restaurateur/cookbook author Zov Karamardian, owner of 5 OC restaurants bearing her name.

    In addition to her extraordinary culinary career, which includes honors by the James Beard Foundation, countless awards and ongoing classes and culinary concerts where guests include such legends as Julia Child and Emeril Lagasse, Zov has been a longtime supporter of the Costa Mesa Senior Center. She also will serve as honorary chair of the event, which is expected to draw 300 guests.

    A silent auction, whose items include a private dinner prepared by Zov, will be held and souvenir photos of guests in their '20s attire will be taken throughout the evening.
