  • (1888PressRelease) February 24, 2011 - Vibrant young actor Kacey Rohl is adding another impressive credit to her resume, with a role alongside Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia, Chloe) in the upcoming feature film 'Red Riding Hood'. The Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) directed film is set to hit the big screen on March 11th, 2011. The film is set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, where a young girl (Red Riding Hood) falls for an orphaned woodcutter, much to her family's displeasure. Kacey plays Prudence in the film, a close friend of Red Riding Hood.

Also set for release in Spring 2011 is the film 'Sunflower Hour', a comedic mockumentary which follows four puppeteers vying for one coveted position on the hit children's television show Sunflower Hour. A documentary team following these social outcasts as they compete for top spot, gains insight into their lives as well as the lives of their families and the creators of the show, discovering that none of them have any business being anywhere near children in the first place! Kacey plays Satan's Spawn in the film, a disgruntled Goth teen who is in the running for a spot on a children's puppet show.

Kacey has had a busy year, with appearances in a multitude of film and television roles, including appearances on the popular Fox series 'Fringe', ABC's 'V' and a recurring role as a witch on The Hub Network's 'Haunting Hour'. Up next for her on the small screen is the recurring supporting lead role of Sterling, a traumatized teen struggling with self-esteem issues in the AMC series 'The Killing'.

The charismatic actor has known as long as she could talk that performing was her passion. The entertainment industry is in Kacey's blood: her mother is a playwright and her father is a television and film director. She was immersed in the theatre world from the time she was a toddler, and at just four years old, she was quoting Shakespeare! Her exposure to the ins and outs of the entertainment realm heightened her passion, and at just 14 years old, she began training with acting coach Andrew McIlroy to hone her skills.

Kacey currently lives in Vancouver, but spends much of her time traveling to LA for auditions. The pet lover shares her home with her two cats Lewis and Eli. When she isn't busy on set, she enjoys relaxing by reading and writing, loves board games, and stays active with Yoga.
