  • Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) August 30, 2013 - Youfit Health Clubs, one of America's fastest-growing fitness companies, has designated August 29-31 as "Family & Friends Weekend."

All of Youfit's 55 clubs around the country (www.youfithealthclubs.com) will be offering tremendous membership incentives, as well as prizes and special treats at the clubs. For family members and friends of current club members, the usual membership fee will be waived - this weekend only - and new members can join for only $10 per month, month to month. In addition, current Youfit members will receive big referral rewards if their family and friends join, ranging from a free T-shirt for one sign-up to a free personal training session for three, and from a possible iPad for five sign-ups to a free one-year membership for ten.

Youfit Health Clubs was founded by Rick Berks in 2008 - with a totally-different business model than traditional clubs. Youfit is geared to the average person, and not the gym rat. There are no long-term contracts (you pay by the month). No intimidating bodybuilders (the clubs aren't designed for them). No singles scenes. No salespeople. And no carbon footprint. In fact, these may be the "greenest" gyms in America - the water and power systems are environmentally-friendly, and the floors are made of recycled tires or Nike "grind" (recycled sneakers!).

"We're thrilled at the way we've been received all around the country," Rick Berks says. "And we've been searching for ways to reward our members. This is a great way to do it…and to introduce new people to our philosophy of what a health club should be."

The "Youfit" name is no accident. These are clubs where "you" can "fit" in, without feeling uncomfortable and without feeling pressure. Berks is opening ten more clubs in the next six months. And the fees are probably the lowest you'll ever see for a first-rate fitness club.

"We're doing things differently than traditional health clubs," says Rick Berks. "And people are responding to our concept."
