WLCI collaborates with Hindustan Times for its Traineeship program

  • (1888PressRelease) January 11, 2013 - Thus, WLCI students graduate with relevant experience in their field and getting final placements for them becomes very easy. This collaboration is a part of the unique initiative- Traineeship Advantage by WLCI College to facilitate students to get practical experience during their tenure at the institution.

    As per the partnership terms of WLCI & HT Media, the students of WLCI will work with HT Media for a period of 30 hours per week from the date of joining. As per the agreement WLCI is allowed by HT to assess the performance of the trainee at the workplace. On one hand, WLCI will keep a track on the student's performance on the other; HT too will assess the performance of the trainee and will keep WLCI in loop. Also, WLCI will also advise HT on the students' academic performance at the institution. This practice will give a 360 degree view of the WLCI's students' performance and caliber. Subsequent efforts will be made to work on the weak areas and enhancing the strong aspects of the trainees.

    HT Media will make earnest attempts to integrate the trainees into its culture, ethos and vision and enable them to apply the classroom teaching at the workplace. The candidates in this program will be provided 10 days leave for a period of 10 days for examination per semester. Further a 10 day leave would be provided for attending SAP (Skills & Attitude) Training at Noida once a year.

    WLCI is a pioneer in this kind of teaching methodology which includes a clear-cut dissection of teaching. It includes classroom teaching and part-time job which enables the students to apply the principles and skills taught in the class in a real work environment.
