  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) January 10, 2013 - The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has appointed Willig, Williams & Davidson Partner Irwin W. Aronson to the Pennsylvania Interest on Lawyers Trust Account (IOLTA) board. A labor and employment attorney, Aronson will serve a three-year term on the nine-member board. The IOLTA program enables lawyers to raise approximately $6 million annually for the provision of legal services to the Commonwealth's poor and disadvantaged. The IOLTA board distributes these funds to nonprofit organizations, clinics administered by law schools and justice projects providing free civil legal services to poor and disadvantaged Pennsylvania residents.

    Resident in Willig, Williams & Davidson's Harrisburg office, Aronson is a respected appellate advocate concentrating his practice in labor and employment law, employee benefit matters, governmental affairs and legislative drafting and analysis. His extensive experience in litigation and legislative matters ranges from fair labor standards and unemployment compensation, to housing and urban development, to elections and voting rights. Aronson is also a published author and frequent lecturer. Among other institutions, he serves or has served as an instructor for Pennsylvania State University's Department of Labor Studies and Industrial Relations, the Union Leadership Academy, Pennsylvania State University's Capitol College (where he was an adjunct faculty member), the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Aronson is also a regular radio show co-host on The Rick Smith Show, "Where Working People Come to Talk."

    The recipient of numerous prestigious awards, the Pennsylvania labor attorney received the Keystone Research Center's highest honor, the Sol Hoffman Award for Outstanding Service to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in 2005.
