WhoseView Surpasses 1.1 Million Visitors in Q2, 2011
WhoseView.ie and WhoseView.co.uk, Ireland's fastest growing customer review site with over 37,000 local business reviews, is pleased to announce that it has recorded over 1.1 million visitors in Q2, 2011.
- (1888PressRelease) July 05, 2011 - Dublin, Ireland - Having launched in late 2009 from the home office of Helen McCarthy, WhoseView.ie and WhoseView.co.uk are now being visited by close to 400,000 people every month.
Established in 2009 from the home office of Helen McCarthy, the Irish version of the website went live in July 2009, followed by the UK version in July 2010. With just 1 full time employee at launch, our goal was to empower our members to rant and rave around local experiences from restaurants, bars, hairdressers, locksmiths, convenience stores, cafes etc. In fact we allow members review businesses from over 300 categories. Members can search from over 250,000 local businesses within WhoseView across 5 cities in Ireland and 6 cities in the UK. If a member wishes to review a local business not already listed on WhoseView, they can simply add that business. Over 10,000 additional businesses have been added by members since launch.
To date, members have posted over 37,500 reviews on local businesses and continue to add reviews at an average of 100 per day now. While restaurants prove to be the most reviewed category with 30% of all reviews, members are posting reviews on everything from hairdressers, wine bars, supermarkets, clothes shops, jewelers, parks, hotels, museums, plus many more.

Early this year, WhoseView launched its location based iphone app, which allows people search for top reviewed local services, depending on their location.
WhoseView.ie was co-founded by Michael McFionbhear and Helen McCarthy in July 2009. They are also supported by Enterprise Ireland and angel investors who invested €180,000.
