  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2010 - A sparkling white crowd chanting "Monroe, Monroe" paraded down Ventura Boulevard last night as young filmmaker Kenneth Monroe made his way to the Style Lounge. The chic hair salon venue for the launch of his 2010 film campaign was the backdrop for glamorous stars dressed in their finest white attire. Supermodels Brett Richards and Bobby Roache hit the white carpet in support of Monroe, along with Tiffany Hines (BONES, NIKITA) and Cedric Sanders (50 Cent's new film THINGS FALL APART). Emmy Award nominated and NAACP winner Cornelius Smith Jr. of ALL MY CHILDREN and Tony Denison (THE CLOSER) stopped by to congratulate the filmmaker. Grammy nominated recording artist Tionne Williams, Lisa Jay (GROOMING GISELLE) were spotted inside the luxurious lounge enjoying a spritz of Cadillac Black, the new fragrance for men and the sponsor of the event. Salon owner Azim Shaalemi, fellow stylists, and Ashley and Ashton (2-U-NEEK) also mingled with guests.

After enjoying white wine, appetizers, and a scented ambiance, guests headed to dance the night away at the R Lounge, the location of the after party.

The event marked the launch of actor, filmmaker, innovator Kenneth Monroe's film campaign. In a recent front page story in the NW Times, "Kenneth entertains his audience and captures their hearts," said Alwyn Stephen, president and CEO of Beauty Contact Inc. for the Cadillac Fragrance Co. "Kenneth's positive energy, perseverance, and determination to go that extra mile to reach for the stars is what inspired us to come on board this movie campaign." His films include EAST CHICAGO, STAND ALONE, and SANTANA BISHOP.
