  • (1888PressRelease) February 08, 2011 - The UK's leading supplier of welding equipment and machinery, Westerman's International, has reported a 26% increase in turnover for 2010.

Founder of Westerman's, Peter Westerman, is pleased to announce that this is a record turnover since the company began trading over 40 years ago.

Those 40 years have seen the company grow across three different sites, whilst simultaneously increasing staff by 20%. Westerman's can also proudly boast a worldwide reputation with many successful trades to overseas shores including Russia, Indonesia and India. Plans to extend sales to further corners of the world should see more jobs created over the next 12 to 18 months.

Claire Spillane, Marketing Director for the East Midlands company, is delighted to see that UK specialised SMEs are now investing again in new and used Welding and Cutting equipment. She said, "Our success comes after a number of British and overseas marketing initiatives in specific industry areas such as Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy. Figures show that British companies accounted for 50% of these sales, which is up on the previous year."

She continued, "The New Year has looked very promising so far, particularly with the fantastic news that our turnover last year was the highest ever. We have every confidence that Westerman's will continue to grow throughout 2011."

Westermans International is and always has been a family owned and operated company. They attribute their success to their fantastic customer service alongside their ability to offer a vast range of equipment at varying price ranges, while simultaneously only trading in the highest quality products.

By attentively following market trends, Westerman's have been quick to respond to customer needs and have increased their product range to include such well-renowned brands as ESAB, Fronius and Kemppi.

Claire Spillane added, "Our clients know the importance of investment in quality Welding Equipment and CNC plasma cutting machinery. Knowing this, we constantly strive to stock only the best range of welding machines available, at unbeatable value.

"We have the confidence to focus on expanding our business, with our priorities for 2011 lying in exploring new markets around the world and utilising the EU Free Trade Agreements to certain countries."
