    Tsubota, an experienced commercial litigator, joins the firm from Miller Starr Regalia. Her practice is focused on business and commercial litigation, construction litigation, commercial leasing and landlord-tenant litigation. Tsubota's clients include real property owners and developers, title insurers, homeowners' associations, individual homeowners and real estate investors. A member of several national and regional construction and real estate industry organizations, she currently serves on the Building Industry Association of the Bay Area's (BIABA) Board of Directors, the HomeAid Northern California Board of Directors, the New Gen committee and the Professional Women in Building Council. She serves on the East Bay CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Board of Directors, acting as one of the East Bay Delegates to CREW National. She is a member of the Board of Directors for California Women Lead East Bay. Tsubota earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law (2002) and her B.A. from the University of California at Davis (1997).

    Smallsreed joins the firm from Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP. His practice involves business formation and succession planning, trust and estate planning and administration, as well as representing entrepreneurs, businesses and nonprofit entities in connection with complex business and tax matters. Smallsreed currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the East Bay Community Foundation and is a member of the East Bay Estate Planning Council and the East Bay Trust and Estate Lawyers. He earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law (1977), his M.B.A in taxation from Golden Gate University (1978), his M.P.A. from Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs (1972) and his B.A. from Pomona College (1969).

    Evans also comes to Wendel Rosen from Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP and is experienced in estate planning, conservatorships, probate and trust administration. She is particularly experienced in preparing special needs trusts and advising both fiduciaries and beneficiaries. Evans is a member of the East Bay Trust and Estate Lawyers and the Black Women Lawyers of Northern California. She is a frequent presenter of trust and estate topics. Evans earned her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law (1996) and her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (1992).
