Virginia Veterinary Medical Association Names Dr. Mark Finkler As New President

  • Roanoke, VA (1888PressRelease) March 02, 2013 - The Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (http://www.vvma.org/) has announced the organization's 2013-2014 board of directors. The organization has named Dr. Mark Finkler as the new president of the organization. Finkler is a small animal practitioner and the owner of Roanoke Animal Hospital, an AAHA accredited hospital. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Currently, he is also an adjunct professor at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Va., where he teaches an elective in ferret medicine and surgery. Finkler is a member of many local, state and national veterinary organizations, served on the VVMA board from 1998 to 2001 and is past president of Saint Francis Service Dog Foundation of Roanoke, VA.
