  • (1888PressRelease) March 17, 2011 - USB Custom Flash comes back swinging.

To defeat the 50% uptick in flash drive price increases seen throughout the industry as a result of the Earthquake and Tsunami, USB Custom Flash is drawing on its reserves of flash chips.

Dave Clarke, company CEO explains. " We have the fortunate position to have 2-3 weeks of flash chips held in reserve at any one time. This reserve should hold us through the crisis." Clarke goes on to say " We expect 2 weeks of supply and cost turmoil and then a slow return to stable pricing and availability".

The Toshiba plant in Fukaumani is the world's largest manufacturer of Nand flash chips accounting for nearly 30% of world production.

Plant manager, Mr. Yakashuku has gone on record to say the following. " We expect a 1-2 week delay in production. After that time we will be back at full capacity. This should stabilize prices and delivery at that time".

USB Custom Flash, based out of Burbank, California, is the award winning design and manufacturing firm for some of the promotional and ad specialty markets most innovative designs and marquis clients.
