  • Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN-WI (1888PressRelease) March 16, 2021 - Duluth, MN - Entrepreneurship is becoming a very popular area of interest for many regions across the United States, but one region that lacks this economy driving culture is the Midwest. The Midwest is a place where there is a no-nonsense attitude and people are genuinely nice, these are two attributes that could be impactful for the global entrepreneurial culture. Young Entrepreneurs Evolution (YEE) is dedicated to transforming the Midwest into a new frontier of innovation and growth by providing globally minded entrepreneurial guidance to university students looking to make an impact. This will be done via an interactive community designed to help young entrepreneurs find success through networking, guidance, and access to funding within a collaborative environment.

Hunter Bergman, a junior at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln (UNL), studying marketing and entrepreneurship, is the president of the UNL entrepreneurship club, an executive leader for StartupsUNL, and a business development specialist at Jacht Agency. Kameron Stone, a senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), studying marketing analytics and MIS, is the host of the Student Built Startups Podcast, where he interviews student entrepreneurs to share their knowledge and promote their businesses. Hunter and Kameron have partnered to develop the YEE community and host the YEE Summit. Development of the YEE Summit began in February 2021 and has felt contributions from more than 20 university students from more than 4 different universities.

The YEE Summit will include a speaker session from Drew Donaldson, the founder of GroHaus, and CSO for Crackle Marketing, about crafting a unique marketing strategy for startups. Mid-event will be the networking session where individuals will be paid randomly one-on-one multiple times to network with other young entrepreneurs. To wrap up the event there will be a fireside chat with Joel Wells, a former NASA engineer, and owner of Square One Creations, about how to design a product that sells itself.

The YEE Summit is an event created by student entrepreneurs, for student entrepreneurs that will help open the door to a more intertwined entrepreneurial culture within the Midwest.
