University Kings & Queens will make their mark on Augusta, GA

  • Augusta-Richmond County, GA-SC (1888PressRelease) June 23, 2015 - Kings, Queens, and student leaders at Historically Black Colleges and Universities from across the United States will converge on Augusta, GA; Thursday, June 25- Sunday, June 28, 2015 for the Tailor Made Royal Retreat at the Augusta Marriott Convention Center.

    Noteworthy speakers and presenters will address the student leaders on a variety of topics ranging from etiquette and leadership to media relations and community service. Students will also participate in a forum discussing societal issues and race relations in America.

    The student leaders will 'Pay it Forward' and make a positive impact on the City of Augusta during the Day of Royal Responsibility on Saturday, June 27 (11 a.m.-1 p.m.). The students will impact the Harrisburg Community during the Clean and Green Project as well as volunteer at The Lydia Project and The Ronald McDonald House.

    Augusta area businesses will also a part of this conference. Attendees will enjoy an evening on the Savannah River during the Diamond & White Welcome Cruise on board the Patriot Riverboat Tours.

    University kings and queens will receive formal wear consulting from Elegant Bridal and Simon's Formal Wear. The Kings will learn the rules of the green during a visit to Wedges and Woods.

    The conference will include several noteworthy speakers: Kervance Ross of KDR Consulting, media expert/professor Chata Spikes, Demetrius Smith of Kollaborative Kreations, Toney Cross of United Way of the CSRA and Priscilla Gary of WNRR Gospel 1380 AM.
