  • (1888PressRelease) March 18, 2011 - Marshall Barnes, a nationally noted research and development engineer in advanced concept science and technology who has been linked to the development of the first prototype for warp drive, called the STDTS, announces that he will be releasing a paper that will be the ultimate work on warp drive physics to date. This is just the latest in a series of aggressive moves that he has been making over the last few weeks to establish the both the reality of his invention and his claim to being the first creator of warp drive.

The last incident involved his announcement that io9.com had been wrong in publishing an article stating that the Chinese were creating the first warp drive. The 2008 article was actually about an electromagnetic thruster, not a warp drive. He followed that by stating that he would not allow his device to be developed in China, like Shawyer was doing with his invention.

In February, The Call & Post newspaper, owned by Don King Media Holdings, LLC published an article substantiating that in fact, Marshall's warp drive prototype was real and that all reports concerning it, that had been reported on the Internet, were true. Reporter Ike Mgbatogu wrote that he saw everything including video of a gravity drop that proves that the STDTS technology was warping space to cause an acceleration effect. This was a small scale test but still decisive. In the wake of that report, many financial web sites ran the news about the Call & Post article.

More announcements are to be expected concerning the next moves that Marshall Barnes intends on making with the development of the first real prototype for warp drive, the STDTS.
