  • (1888PressRelease) June 24, 2011 - In mid-June, the first virtual trade show took off, focused on the food industry and the So French So Good promotional campaign.

UBIFRANCE, which currently has 63 offices in 44 countries, seeks to facilitate access to foreign markets for French-based businesses by giving them the opportunity to increase their exposure and generate business contacts with prospective foreign clients.

Virtual trade shows are already a highly developed concept in North America. This new virtual trade-show platform will be updated throughout the year with a host of live and pre-recorded events, conferences, meetings with buyers, live broadcasts of highlights, and video chats. This will give many of UBIFRANCE's events a new, longer lifespan.

Visitors to the virtual trade show will have 24/7 access to live or pre-recorded conferences as well as to booths run by companies, by UBIFRANCE, or by its partners. Visitors will be able to access downloads and contact forms as well as to retrieve information of interest to them.

All the events featured on the virtual trade-show website (www.ubifrance-events24.com) will have a specific online communication system, which is aimed at generating targeted, qualified traffic.
From 14 to 17 June 2011, the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region (in northern France) used this new platform to promote its International Week event. UBIFRANCE took this opportunity to launch its virtual trade show in order to promote the food industry, more particularly in relation to the So French So Good campaign. A host of streaming events and live online conferences were accessible on the internet over four days as part of this virtual trade show.

French businesses will be able to benefit from first-hand accounts in English, particularly those that took part in the Hannover Messe 2011 technology trade show (in the northern German city of Hanover), the French Tech Tour (in the USA), and other key events. In all, over 160 booths will be put online.
