    THE UNEXPECTED

Many of us are familiar with the biblical story of the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of Jesus' garment and was instantly and unequivocally healed. Now, do we believe this to simply be a parable… an inspirational story? Or do we believe these kinds of miraculous events can and do happen… even today?

    T. Y. Martin's hit stage play "The Hem of His Garment" will convince you of the reality of modern day miracles. The story of RALPH and STEVE is a tale of childhood friendship and the secrets we keep, even from our closest and dearest friends. One is straight… one is gay. One has lived a life other's only dream about. One has lived a life for others that he thought was expected of him. One faces certain death because of his lifestyle. One's identity is shaken to the core by these most recent revelations.

Now, some would say 'when you play with fire you get burned". Others would concur, echoing the sentiment that there are "natural consequences" for "risky" behavior. Both may very well be true. But remember to expect the unexpected.

This is not a story about heterosexuality and homosexuality. This is not a story about individual choice and personal behavior. This is a story about faith… pure and simple. Do you have faith? We talk about having the faith of a mustard seed, but do you really have it? T.Y. Martin's "The Hem of His Garment" is a testament to exercised faith. Beliefs will be challenged, perceptions will be brought to bear, and real faith will be manifested.
