  • (1888PressRelease) June 18, 2018 - TVS Television Network has launched an IWA Classic Wrestling TV Marathon, featuring top matches from the 1975 IWA Wrestling season that were originally televised on the TVS Television Network. Matches are free to view, ad supported, on a video on demand basis.

    IWA Wrestling was created in 1975 by TVS and Cleveland wrestling promoter Pedro Martinez as the first national treatment of pro wrestling, specifically for TV syndication on TVS. Prior to that, pro wrestling was compresided of an organization of regional wrestling promoters, each with their own distinct territory.

    TVS lured the best of the best pro wrestlers, such as Bulldog Brower, Bobo Brazil, The Love Brothers, Eric the Red, Ernie Ladd, Hacksaw Reynolds, Thunderbolt Patterson, Tex McKenzie, Cowboy Bob Ellis, Gino Brito and Dino Bravo, The Mighty Igor, The Sheik, The Somoans, Rip Hawk, and IWA Champion Mil Mascaras to the organization.
