  • (1888PressRelease) October 14, 2017 - Peter Yeung Trumantech’s Owner & CEO said, “Production in our half a gigawatt factory was due to start in January 2018 and is still on target, however we have far exceeded our order capacity and have had to put into action the planned expansion already”.

Yeung went on to say, “We were confident of filling our order book by the planned opening date in January but have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of orders, we have had to make some significant adjustments to construction schedules to accommodate the expansion immediately and we will have to work around ongoing construction when the factory opens. However, we believe it is financially beneficial to complete the expansion construction now even though it means we will be running slightly under capacity until full construction is completed around March 2019”.

Trumantech’s planned half a gigawatt factory has now turned into three quarters gigawatt factory. There is still some concern that due to China’s insatiable demand for solar, Trumantech will still be needing a bigger factory as their connections with government officials continues to grow so will their order book.

Yeung hinted that Trumantech are currently looking at other solar manufacturers outside of China as potential takeover targets as their aggressive expansion looks set to continue.
