  • San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) November 19, 2010 - Trigild, a rapidly growing San Diego-based distressed property management, receivership and loan recovery specialist, has named Fernando R. Landa its new general counsel.

An accomplished real estate professional and attorney, Landa was the recent recipient of the 2010 Associate of the Year Award presented by the San Diego Building Industry Association at the 2010 BIA Annual Dinner-receiving the accolade based on his considerable industry and community involvement, as well as special efforts on specific projects.

In a newly created position, Landa will provide key legal and strategic expertise to Trigild company management-developing and negotiating commercial contracts and leases, serving as receiver and representing the company in court hearings. Additionally, he will advise on corporate matters.

"We are thrilled to have Fernando join our team of industry professionals," said Bill Hoffman, president and CEO of Trigild. "As the need for our receivership services accelerates, his considerable legal and commercial real estate expertise will be invaluable."

Landa was previously an attorney with Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg & Bagley LLP, a leading San Diego real estate law firm, where he was involved in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate assets.

A LEED accredited professional, he was also an associate with London Group Realty Advisors, providing strategic consulting services and financial analysis for real estate developments and investments throughout the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico; a consultant for Pacific Equity Partners, LLC; as well as a public policy analyst with San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation.

Landa holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and political science from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science degree in real estate from the University of San Diego (USD) School of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor, with concentrations in real estate and corporate law, from USD School of Law.

Fluent in Spanish, he is involved with numerous professional organizations, among them the San Diego BIA, the Urban Land Institute, the Lincoln Club, the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate/Young Entrepreneurs Council and the San Diego County Bar Association.
