Tornado Automotive Project Wins Best Of Class At Goodwood
Tornado Automotive is a well-established name in Classic American Car restoration and repair. We instil the passion we have for Classic Cars in every one of our projects, so when we were given the chance to work on the incredibly rare 53 Oldsmobile Fiesta, we were thrilled. The very car we worked on went on to be awarded the Best Of Class award in the Americana category at Goodwood FOS.

We carry out a range of automotive work, including servicing and maintenance, in-house fabrication, engine rebuilds, body shop and detailing work, interiors, and custom exhausts. All this work is undertaken in house at our 9600 sq ft workshop in High Wycombe.

After our team of industry professionals carried out the requested repairs and detailing work to this magnificent American Classic vehicle, the Dream Cars UK team entered it into the Cartier Style Et Luxe competition hosted at Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2021.
This competition, now in its 23rd year, is a place where creatives and passionate connoisseurs of automotives come together to judge a select group of rare, and unique vehicles.
“This is a celebration of fine automotive design where the diverse vehicles presented always manage to create amazement,” said Laurent Feniou, the managing director at Cartier.
It should be clear to see that this type of competition somewhere Tornado Automotives would dream of participating, so when we heard that Dream Cars UK had entered their 53 Oldsmobile Fiesta into the prestigious Americana category we were very excited. With competing entries such as Buick, Cadillac, Continental, and Packard, this class was filled with examples of the very best of 1950s Americana Classic Cars. When all was said and done, it was the very same 1953 Oldsmobile Fiesta that we had undertaken a labour of love over that got the approval of the judges, and it was awarded Best In Class in the Americana category.

As a well-established name in Classic American Car restoration, we are always working on something new that excites us just as much as the first project we ever undertook. Our expert team is kicking off 2022 with a recommissioning and body repair work project on a rare 58 nomad.
