This workshop will focus on how to specify valves for the majority of applications requiring isolation or control. The identification of the root cause of any failure using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) procedures forms an integral part of the program. This together with all the other concepts covered, forms the basis of formulating strategies aimed at ensuring optimum Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) in valves.

Throughout the 3-days course, our trainer Mr. John Tonkin will lead the delegates with his style of actively encouraging delegates to contribute to the program. He started his career in power station and progressed through the merchant marine (stream) and onto the design, marketing and after-sales support of pumps, pipe work system and valves. -Detail the role played by individual valve components and their materials of construction
-Given practical case studies, select the most suitable valve pattern and recommend as appropriate size
-Given a brief description of the more common types of valve actuators and their application

This training will be conducted by given a number of case studies, drawn form past experience, which require calculations and selections to be completed.
