  • (1888PressRelease) November 20, 2018 - The Knowledge Group/The Knowledge Congress Live Webcast Series, the leading producer of regulatory focused webcasts, announced today that it has scheduled a live webcast entitled: Amended Federal Rules of Evidence and New E-Discovery Processes and Pricing: Significant Implications to the Year Ahead. This one-hour event is scheduled on November 28, 2018 at 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM ET.

    Event Synopsis:
In April 2017, the U.S. Supreme Court had approved the addition of Rules 902(13) and 902(14) to the Federal Rules of Evidence (FRE). The rules, which became effective in December 2017, have radically changed the process for the collection and admission of electronically stored information (ESI) into evidence at trial. How ESI is collected, reviewed and managed for discovery and investigation has also radically changed. Litigation discovery that used to costs tens of thousands of dollars, if not more, can now be accomplished for a few hundred dollars. Discovery disputes that destroyed credibility and increased litigation costs can now be avoided entirely.

In this LIVE Webcast, a panel of thought leaders and professionals assembled by The Knowledge Group will offer the audience with an in-depth discussion of the fundamental aspects of Rules 902(13) and 902(14) and the radical, cost-saving changes now taking place with e-discovery processes. The panel will also offer helpful insights on how to maximize opportunities and minimize risks offered by the these changes.

    Key topics include:
    • Rules 902(13) and 902(14) - An Overview
    • Scope and Limitations
    • New E-Discovery Processes
    • Reducing litigation costs for discovery and at trial
    • Implications to the Year Ahead
    • Best Practices
