Theresa Szczurek joins Western Colorado University board
Theresa Szczurek, consultant and technology entrepreneur, was appointed by State of Colorado Governor Polis to Western Colorado University board. Szczurek most recently served on Governor Polis' cabinet at the State of Colorado Chief Information Officer.

Szczurek, CEO and Certified Management Consultant, has been appointed by Governor Jared Polis to the Western Colorado University Board of Trustees. Most recently, Szczurek served on Governor Polis' cabinet as the State of Colorado Chief Information Officer and Executive Director of the Governor's Office of Information Technology.
The Board of Trustees makes policy and provides oversight for the operations of the institution. This new trustee appointment enhances the representation of women on the board, which now comprises seven men and four women. Annelise Mae Loevlie, founder and CEO, Golden-based Icelantic Skis was also appointed. Both four-year appointments began December 31, 2020.
