  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) June 02, 2011 - The Caribbean American Fashion Exchange's promotional event, Sunday Afternoon Tea & Fashion Salon and Silent Auction, promises to introduce three Caribbean fashion design companies to the Atlanta market while giving back to the community by fundraising against abuse and domestic violence.

The Fashion Salon, scheduled for Sunday, June 12, 2011 at an undisclosed Atlanta location, will introduce designers Sophia Clarke (Barbados), Esther Joseph (St. Lucia), and Wendy Pierre (Trinidad and Tobago), who will present their Resort 2011 Collections to an invitation-only guest list made up of diplomats, celebrities, business executives, fashion lovers, and advocates against abuse and domestic violence. Guests will be treated to specialty drinks, teas and Caribbean delicacies sponsored by Remy Martin, OrganoGold, and Tassa Roti Shop while they view the designer's collections and place orders that would be custom-made for each client. The goal of the Fashion Salon is to stimulate sales and develop a private clientele for the participating CAFE designers while providing an opportunity to promote each designer's country of heritage.

Wings of Love International, Inc., beneficiary of the proceeds of the Silent Auction, serves individuals and families internationally, and are dedicated to helping those affected by abuse and domestic violence to live safe, self-sufficient lives. The primary goal of this nonprofit is to provide education that will help prevent the cycle of abuse. Expected to be in-house for the event will be Denise O'Brien, CEO/Founder and Executive Director of WOLI, who will be coming in from Los Angeles for the CAFE weekend. All proceeds from the Silent Auction will be used to supplement the programs at Wings of Love International, a 501(c)(3) public charity.
