    Saturday, Oct. 26, 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
John H. White spent his 35-year plus newspaper career first at the Chicago Daily News, later moving to the Chicago Sun-Times. He says his greatest joy is being the "eyes" for the people of Chicago on a daily basis and sharing "what I see and what I feel" through the lens of my camera. White has received over 300 awards throughout his career, including the Pulitzer for feature photography in 1982. He also served as Adjunct Lecturer in photojournalism at Medill School of Journalism, at Northwestern where he continues to lecture. John has also participated in the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop. Among a long list of other awards, he's been honored by the National Press Photographers Association, and the Chicago Press Photographers Association with the Photographer of the Year award a record five times.

Rick Flores started documenting life in the South Bronx after he purchased a camera in 1980. He embarked on a journey of self-discovery photographing his friends and family during one of the most turbulent times in the history of the Bronx and New York. Flores freelanced for The Daily News, The New York Times, The City Sun and The Village Voice. En Foco has exhibited his work numerous times. He is recognized for his work on the attacks on the 2011 World Trade Center and is a two-time winner of the New York Press Publishers Association for Spot News. He has a permanent installation at I.S. 206 in the Tremont section of the Bronx commissioned by the School Construction Authority, New York City Board of Education and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs. A past president of ASMP, he is also member of the Society of Photographic Education. Free on a first-come, first-serve basis with MANDATORY registration through Eventbrite. The 45 winning images from the 2013 competition were curated by Susan Baraz.
Ms. Baraz remarked, "The great images in this show prove what a dynamic world the "photo community" embraces. Works from all over the globe are united in a common language, that of a captured, personal vision. The subjects and ideas are diverse, but they're not challenged by one being more incredible than another. All are equally powerful in their own right. That's the beauty and wonder of photography itself. The world can take lessons."

The 2013 Best of Show Photographers are: Jisca van Beveren, Leslie Hall Brown, Marina Cano, Fabrizio Cestari, YUKARI CHIKURA, Angelo Cirrincione, Gabriele Croppi, Souvid Datta, Patricia Dinu, Brian Driscoll, Steven Friedman, Alexey Furman, Glenna Gordon, Lucy Snowe Henry, Lucia Herrero, Buck Holzemer, John Huet, Aaron Huey, Tommy Ingberg, Goran Jovic, Brooks Kraft, Wai Shun Wilson Lee, Nicky Loh, JM Lopez, Christopher Malcolm, Lauren Marsolier, Maysun, Jakub Ochnio, Donna Pinckley, Fausto Podavini, Espen Rasmussen, Joel Redman, Morten Rygaard, Bertram Schiller, Paul Souders, Ilona Szwarc, Viktor Sykora, Boon Kah Tan, Vassilis Tangoulis, Sebastiano Tomada, Richard Tuschman, Annelie Vandendael, Raina+Wilson, Chong Kok Yew and Alessandro Zulberti.from.
