  • (1888PressRelease) August 06, 2014 - Weston, MA - PJ McMann, Director of Liberty Quest Foundation, is announcing a joint effort between Wisdom for the Heart, led by Dr. Stephen Davey, and the Streaming Faith Initiative whereby Wisdom for the Heart will provide their audio content to prisoners. The purpose of this endeavor is to bring the Word of God delivered by inspirational preachers like Dr. Davey to a group that is most in need to hear it, yet lacks the ability to get: those 216,000 plus inmates who are incarcerated in the United States by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

At this time, federal prisoners in the BOP are allowed to purchase MP3 players as well as downloads. However, the audio content that is available for prisoners is primarily commercial music and nothing educational or spiritual that might enhance an inmate's mind, body or soul on their path to redemption. The Streaming Faith Initiative seeks to change that.

Now in its 11th year, Wisdom for the Heart is an international Bible-teaching ministry based on the sermons of Dr. Stephen Davey. The broadcast "Wisdom for the Heart" has a large world-wide following and is heard on more than 250 radio stations globally transmitted in many native languages with new outlets continuously being added. This August, Wisdom for the Heart added three stations in Brazil broadcasting in Portuguese.

Son of missionary parents, Dr. Stephen Davey committed his life to serving Christ and prepared for a life of servant-leadership at Liberty University, Tennessee Temple University, Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and Dallas Theological Seminary. After graduation he founded Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, NC. The church family currently engages in more than 100 ministries carried out by several thousand volunteers. Stephen also serves as the president of Shepherds Theological Seminary, a new seminary training young minds on delivering the Word.

On contributing to the Streaming Faith Initiative, Dr. Davey states, "True repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God prompted by the Holy Spirit. Prisons are dark places, and we're pleased that we can contribute to bringing the Light there, and helping change the hearts of those seeking the truth."

Liberty Quest Foundation is the heart of P.J. McMann who serves as its Executive Director. Liberty Quest is a Christian - based organization whose mission is to provide scholarships to children who have or have had a parent incarcerated. In addition, Liberty Quest promotes and lobbies for improvement in prison conditions, prison programs, and other opportunities for prisoners to enhance their minds, bodies and souls so as to provide more humane treatment of those incarcerated and to reduce prisoner recidivism.

McMann, a former federal prisoner who was touched by the Holy Spirit and found his faith while incarcerated stated, "It would have been a God send to listen to Dr. Davey and grow spiritually while I was in prison, and we're now on the verge of making that happen. Dr. Davey has so many inspiring and motivational sermons and down-to-earth programs that, I know from personal experience, will be meaningful to those incarcerated in the BOP. Federal inmates will receive Jesus - even from afar - and be embraced by His love and forgiveness."
