  • (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2012 - The celebrations begin on Christmas Eve at The Restaurant with an irresistible menu featuring poached tom yam gong tiger prawn, king crab tian and a duo of free range roast turkey breast and leg confit. Dinner is served from 7 pm and is OMR 45 ++ per person.

    Continuing the festivities, Christmas Day is all about good food and The Chedi Muscat doesn't disappoint with an extensive brunch menu served from 12 noon. Diners can enjoy prawns, lobster medallions and crab from the cold seafood section as well as a wide choice of hot and cold desserts including a royal chocolate log and a mini gingerbread house. The star of the show, though, is the roast turkey carvery with glazed brussels sprouts, potato dauphinoise and mushroom ricotta spinach. The Christmas Day brunch is OMR 38++ per person.

    New Year's Eve kicks off with a cocktail reception in The Lobby Lounge and garden and offers two options for revellers. The Beach Restaurant serves up a seven-course gala dinner with pan-fried foie gras terrine, seared divers scallops and pan-fried black trumpet coated cod for OMR 125++ per person. Alternatively, The Restaurant puts on an interactive buffet at OMR 95++ per person with a host of live cooking stations, an Asian counter, an international section and an Indian and Arabic corner as well as an impressive selection of desserts and pastries.

    Once dinner is over a DJ in The Lobby will see partygoers into the New Year with old and new tunes and non-stop entertainment the whole night long.
