  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2010 - Do you believe in ghosts? Do you thrive on paranormal activity? If so, you may want to visit The Cellar on Tuesday, Oct 19 or 26 from 11 p.m. - 2 a.m. as the Fullerton fine dining establishment hosts real-life "ghostbuster" Erik Vanlier. The paranormal expert will use state-of-the-art equipment to reach out to spirits, serve as a medium for ghostly presences and help guests communicate with loved ones who "rest on the other side." Only 20 guests will be permitted to participate in each of the two sessions. For $29.95, guests also will enjoy specially selected wines and hearty appetizers.

    Vanlier has been investigating paranormal activity for more than 15 years. Among the tools of his trade are an electronic voice phenomena (EVP), which digitally records latent voices produced by spirits, an electromagnetic field meter (EMF), which charts the energy in the room to direct guest to those spirits surrounding them, and a "spirit box," a digitally modified AM/FM radio which helps pick up "white noise" from the spirit world.

    Vanlier says that The Cellar is situated in a "triple threat" area so called because spirit activity can be traced to 3 different sources on the same property. For reservations call (714) 525-5682.

    The Cellar has been an Orange County institution since it opened its doors in 1970. Its Old World charm as realized by the craftsmen who built Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean sets the perfect backdrop to a world class dining experience emphasizing the finest in classical French cuisine. The reinterpretations of classic French recipes and attention to detail have earned the restaurant critical acclaim.

    The Cellar is located at 305 North Harbor Blvd, Fullerton; (714) 525-5682;
