  • (1888PressRelease) August 02, 2014 - Los Angeles, CA - FourPoints Television and The Aviators announced that Air Boss is making its series debut on iTunes starting tomorrow. Aviation and air show fans around the world will be able to download the first episode on Saturday August 2nd, and five subsequent episodes will be made available each Saturday beginning on August 9th. Fans can access the new series tomorrow by visiting http://itunes.airboss.tv. For those who wish to view the season on DVD, discs are available in The Aviators' shop at http://shop.theaviators.tv.

Air Boss is poised to make waves on its iTunes debut just as season 4 of its sister production The Aviators soared to become the #2 non-fiction television series within just three hours, second only to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Since its launch, The Aviators has reached no less than 50 million viewers in 100 different countries around the world.

"There are 12 million people who frequent air shows in North America alone," commented Anthony Nalli, producer and creator of Air Boss and The Aviators. "We also know there are many millions of other aviation fans around the world - many of whom will proactively seek out and download our iTunes episodes of Air Boss to extend their interest and passion for aviation. One of the reasons The Aviators has been so successful on iTunes is because fans can access content whenever they want, wherever they are in the world. There is no broadcast television or cable box required, and by visiting iTunes, viewers can choose to view content in original, stunning high definition picture quality."

Air Boss is a 'reality docuseries' that follows Wayne Boggs, the most famous 'air boss' in the world and brother of Boston Red Sox legend Wade Boggs. He is often referred to as the 'conductor' by those who know him since he is at the center of the air show orchestrating the planes, and revered by both aviation performers and fans. A veteran air show director and aerial choreographer, Boggs is also the recipient of the International Council of Air Shows' (ICAS) "Sword of Excellence" award, which is among the most prestigious awards in the industry.

Nalli says that the demographic of Air Boss ranges from children to seniors and is not gender specific - making it perfect for the iTunes format. "People who are passionate about aviation are both young and old, male and female. Our program attracts everyone from seniors who are enthralled by war birds or large transport planes from the 1940s, as well as children of all ages who aspire to become pilots themselves someday."

Air Boss originally began as the crew was shooting an episode for The Aviators, when the crew did a two-minute sub-segment on Wayne Boggs, the 'air boss'. Nalli quickly discovered that Boggs not only had a magnetic personality, but was truly at the center of the flurry of activity behind the scenes at air shows. "He was also a God-fearing family man who was drop-dead fascinating to follow around with a camera," says Nalli.

The first episode features Chris Darnell and his incredible Shockwave Jet Truck - both the stars of yet another new FourPoints series entitled Jet Truck (http://www.jettruck.tv), which is set to premiere in 2015. Air Boss is already airing internationally on Discovery and also premieres this month on Travel Channel in the UK and Asia.
