  • (1888PressRelease) December 31, 2013 - The Aldwych Theatre (www.aldwychtheatre.com) is getting ready to host the opening night for Stephen Ward the Musical on Thursday 19th December. The production then runs right the way through Christmas with plenty of opportunities to see the show available. Tickets are available at fantastic prices and critics are expecting this to be a massive hit.

    The Aldwych Theatre is a place that is known for hosting the best of the best in the world of entertainment. It has a long and colourful history which dates right back to 1925 when it was the home for a series of farces by Ben Travers. It has also been the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company and has housed many memorable productions, such as The Wars of the Roses.
    The company will be hoping that Stephen Ward the Musical will be just as successful. The show is based on the 1963 Profumo Affair yet is told through the eyes of society osteopath Stephen Ward. Ward was one of the individuals who was dragged down the most by the political scandal.

    The cast and the creative for this musical are impressive to say the least. Christopher Hampton and Don Black are responsible for the book and lyrics. Andrew Lloyd Webber is in control of the music whilst Richard Eyre has directed the production. Members of the cast include the likes of Alexander Hanson, Charlotte Spencer, Anthony Calf, Charlotte Blackledge and Daniel Flynn.

    There are plenty of opportunities to see the production through the upcoming month with a full Christmas schedule taking place. Individuals can watch the show every day from 23rd December (Monday) until 4th January (Saturday), with Christmas Day being the only exception. Choices of sittings include the afternoon production at 2.30 pm and the evening showing at 7.30 pm.
